Cashier/Barista/Customer Service: We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with the public. Prior customer service and espresso-drink preparation experience preferred but not necessary. In addition to a passion for superior customer service, qualified candidates must be able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Requires standing and bending up to 8 hours - Lifting up to 25 pounds max.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Cashier/Barista: Making espresso drinks for customers, high level of customer interaction, keeping the store clean, and maintaining the presentation of our goods. Taking deli orders and communicating with the Deli Staff to ensure quick and accurate delivery of food orders.

BASIC PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: Assisting lead cooks in preparing breakfast and lunch items, both hot and cold. Keeps deli stocked and preps items to ensure uninterrupted flow of food delivery. This a fast-paced position which requires strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares food orders in a timely manner
Maintains portion control and takes regular inventory
Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
Ensures food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized
Adheres to established recipes
Receiving and stocking of food vendor orders
Washing containers and other equipment and tools used in cooking processes.
Responsible for performing all duties with honesty and integrity.
Other necessary and required duties.
Possession of California Food Handlers Certificate required or the ability to obtain with 7 days of hire.
SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to frequently lift up to approximately 25 lbs.
Ability to frequently reach and maneuver product filled containers within the range of floor level to overhead.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist and turn up to 8 hours.
Manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and good balance are necessary.
Ability to work and move at a production rate of speed.
Ability to be friendly, courteous, tactful and maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers.
Must possess good communication skills and be able to read and follow written instructions.
MUST love working with the public and maintain professionalism during both peak and slower periods.
Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to grill, stove top, slicer and other work aides necessary to perform job duties. Frequent exposure for brief periods of time to 38° Fahrenheit while handling products in the walk-in. Working conditions consists of a commercial kitchen production area in a temperature-controlled environment. Hands are frequently exposed to water and cleaning agents.
