This Cadillac isn't grandpa's station wagon, and it's not likely to be drafted into daily use for soccer-mom duties, either.

The 2011 CTS-V Sport Wagon, which can go from zero to 60 mph in about four seconds, is the hottest family hauler on four wheels, and it's more at home on the track than on the road.

This souped-up edition of the CTS wagon now has joined coupe and sedan versions of the CTS V. The V designation means that they all come with the same supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that puts out an unbelievable 556 horsepower and 551 foot-pounds of torque.

The limited-production CTS-V wagon starts at $62,165 (plus $825 freight and a $1,300 federal gas-guzzler tax), but there is a list of options that can push the price higher — all the way up to $68,590 on our test vehicle (including the freight and gas-guzzler tax).

Offered with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, the rear-wheel-drive CTS-V wagon comes with Cadillac's Magnetic Ride Control and Brembo performance brakes.
