It does fulfil the goal of making the focusing of the camera smoother and less awkward in terms of the hand position.  I think it would also make hitting a specific point on the focus ring a more visual task that is possible from behind the camera (without being able to see the markings on the lens...)

Might work nicely with a second one on the fixed part of the lens as a focus stop to align with...

Glad I saw this, I was in the mall with my girlfriend and she wanted to stop in at a store called Peppers which has more kitchen gadgets than I ever thought existed. Anywho I was able to find the exact same thing (albiet for $4 CDN) and it works great as a follow focus. Just thought I'd mention this for any folk that don't have a BB&B in their city.

Another foodbank collection point opens as Carlisle charity helps 1000

The team behind Carlisle Foodbank this week revealed it has handed out more than 1,000 parcels in the past year.

Details of the pressure on them emerged as a charity nationally warned that the numbers of people needing help to get food should be a wake-up call that those going hungry cannot be ignored.

And it came with a warning that the impact of Government welfare reforms could see demand grow further.

A new collection box for Carlisle Foodbank was put in place at the city’s Civic Centre this week.

Rachael Rodway, of Carlisle Foodbank, said: “Since we opened in April last year we have handed out over 1,020 parcels, but the need is increasing every week.

“Now that there are no single crisis payments, the foodbank is the first stop for many referral agencies helping people who are hungry and in need.”

The idea of the foodbank is to help out in a crisis, not provide regular handouts to the same people.

People or families will be helped up to three times. After this, agencies will be asked to step in and look at other ways to help.
