This is a great tool for the grill.It is the easiest one to use I have found.The readout is a grid which tells you how done any piece of meat is based on the temp - this allows you to check different things on the grill (i.e. chicken and beef) without having to reprogram the fork.The only better one I have seen is by the same company, and is basically the same except it includes a light. Now what master, or mistress, of the grill wouldn't be thrilled to receive this ingenious tool? Simply insert the temperature tip into any meat or fish and temperature will register in one second. The fork can also be be programmed for a certain setting, and when that temperature is reached a beep will let you know the food is ready. Works just as well for indoor microwave or oven cooking.

PXP donates to library campaign

The Village Library fundraising thermometer is back!  Check out the progress of the campaign. There is one month left to raise $25,000 and we are at 28 percent. PXP recently donated $1,000 to the Village Library. The company has been a major contributor each year.

This is the last week of the Dominos fundraiser, so order a pizza and fill out the donation form.

Village Rotary will be sponsoring a barbecue at the shopping center as a fundraiser for the library. Tentative date is April 30.

Welcome sign: Check out the possible designs of a proposed Village welcome sign on display in the Village Library. There is a suggestion box which will be available for the next two weeks. This is a project sponsored by Lompoc Valley in Bloom and Vandenberg Village Association.

Cabrillo Aquarium:  The next open house is Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The students will be celebrating the unveiling of the new rain forest mural and habitat. The mural was painted by local artist Angie Hamlin. Families with young children are encouraged to attend.
