As a material and a motif, it has been used for centuries on many continents.

A versatile material in decorating, bamboo is equally at home in a comfy cottage or modern urban loft. This bed is new, but the motif has a vintage feel.  The hand-blocked textiles add an exotic influence. Note the vintage screen to the left of the bed.

Contrary to popular belief, bamboo is not a type of wood but a grass. It’s easily molded into contemporary furniture.  The Spring Chair does just that, giving a unique response to each individual.  The silky finish is repeated in the glass top Game Table base.  Each piece brings an artistic touch to the space.

Faux bamboo is equally popular.  Place settings of these vitrified ceramic dishes create an elegant table.  Great attention to detail was given when designing the intricate bands.  The spoon is from a five-piece place setting with natural bamboo handles.
