A disgusting party perfect for April Fools' Day
For April Fools’ Day or a birthday, gross out the gang and giggle a lot at this fabulously yucky bash.
Enjoy some foul playFor an icky version of pin the tail on the donkey, cut a bread slice shape from foam core, add grain speckles and a crust with brown paint, and glue on a cockroach cutout. Each player gets a pushpin and a wad of “mold” (dryer lint). One at a time, blindfolded players try to stick their mold onto the cockroach. Whoever’s closest to the roach wins.
Dig a compost cakeDo like the worms do, and dine on a decomposing pile of garbage. Make an 8-inch-square chocolate cake from your favorite mix or recipe. Cover it with chocolate frosting, then press pretzel rods around the sides, leaving some cracks for protruding critters. Sprinkle the top with crushed chocolate cookies, then decorate with candy fruit slices, Circus Peanuts and gummy worms and bugs.
Munch on monstersFor an unsettling snack, let the crew make freaky-face pizzas. Lightly toast English-muffin halves, spread them with pizza sauce and sprinkle on cheese. Have each child make a face from such toppings as pepperoni, olives, carrot curls and other veggie pieces. Broil briefly to heat the pizza and melt the cheese. Parmesan “dandruff” makes a deliciously vile finishing touch.
